Revo Uninstaller Pro is a solid choice for the computer junkie who wants an immaculate PC, but its user interface and lack of browser toolbar/plug-in deletion keep it from being the top dog in the program-uninstaller field. Ashampoo Uninstaller 6's toolbar deletion capabilities are also absent here. Unfortunately, however, Revo Uninstaller Pro lacks Ashampoo Uninstaller 6's community-based recommendations that teach you about the apps that can be removed without crippling core functionality. Fortunately, Revo Uninstaller Pro's Forced Uninstall feature wipes out those naughty data bits so that they no longer reside on your PC. It also alerted me that the iCloud Control Panel uninstall left behind some junk files and, a few mouse clicks later, removed those, too. I used Quick Uninstall to remove Digsby, Skype, Steam and other applications without a hitch. Quick Uninstall, on the other hand, eliminates those extra steps by monitoring software in real time and automatically deleting the leftovers. The standard uninstall feature lets you queue up multiple programs to uninstall in a row (something you can't do using Windows' default uninstaller), but you must manually confirm the removal of each application's leftover components after you uninstall software. Revo Uninstaller Pro also has an uninstall option not available in the free version of Revo: Quick Uninstall. Ashampoo Uninstaller, on the other hand, has an attractive, easy-to-navigate layout that can even be skinned with new themes. Note: Revo Uninstaller Pro has a rudimentary design that may prove a bit confusing to novices.

If your PC runs 64-bit Windows 10 ($139.00 at Microsoft Store) (Opens in a new window), 8, 7, Vista, or XP, Uninstaller Pro is the Revo version for you.

You see, when an application is uninstalled, the removed software may leave junk files on your PC that can affect system performance. (The free Revo Uninstaller only fully removes 32-bit apps.) As a result, you can uninstall 64-bit apps without leaving behind any stray parts.
HOW DOES GEEK UNINSTALLER FORCED REMOVAL WORK FULL
The biggest difference between Revo's free and paid versions is that the Revo Uninstaller Pro version has full 64-bit functionality. It's quite good.Ĭ heck out our review of the free Revo Uninstaller for the basics (uninstall features, PC tuneup tools), as those features are also included in Revo Uninstaller Pro. Some of those features are found in Ashampoo Uninstaller 6, the Editors' Choice for paid uninstall utilities, but that doesn't mean you should overlook Revo Uninstaller Pro.

The uninstaller also boasts Windows 10 compatibility, real-time software monitoring, full 64-bit app support, and other features. Like the free version of the program, Revo Uninstaller Pro lets you thoroughly uninstall programs, permanently delete files tossed into the Recycle Bin, and eliminate junk files. Uninstalling applications using Windows's default program removal tool isn't difficult, but Revo Uninstaller Pro, which costs $39.25 for a single license, offers a more efficient way to delete unwanted software from your PC. Doesn't remove browser toolbars or plug-ins.Short on features compared with competing apps.
